+First off, you should get the latest version of NixNote (this is nixnote2-2.0-beta3_amd64 ). Download the .deb version that we will decompress... You'll find it on the **[[http://sourceforge.net/projects/nevernote/files/NixNote2%20-%20Beta%203/|NixNote > files > NixNote2 - Beta 3 page at SourceForge]]**.
+Once the download is done, right click the downloaded .deb file and select "Extract Here". A **nixnote2-2.0-beta3_amd64** directory will be created next to the downloaded file. Let's **rename it //nixnote2-2.0-beta3-b_amd64//** to avoid confusions.
