====== Text Editors ====== Choosing Linux Mint LMDE probably means you're not the average "Userland" visitor. It's probable that you're looking for deeper access to your system or other kind of applications setup that will require some text manipulation applications adapted to the job. ===== Pluma ===== Pluma is more than a decent text editor, that has syntax highlighting and the basic tools you'll require for an everyday job... ===== Meld ===== One of the most useful text analysis tool is diff, unfortinatelly using it in the command line can be, if not daunting, at least a bit impressive to newcomers and even more seasoned users (as myself). That's where Meld comes to the rescue. Offering a nice and easy to grasp interface for comparing 2 or even 3 versions of text files, but also directories content.\\ A must have at my eyes... Simply go:\\ Menu -> Software Manager -> Search: "Meld" -> Double click (line saying: Graphical tool to diff and merge files) -> Install That's it!\\ You've got Meld available in your "Applications / Programming" menu. ===== Sublime Text ===== http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/907
